Property consultancy Carter Jonas has recruited two graduate surveyors, bringing staffing in its Bath office to 30.
Amy Percy has joined the valuations department while Adam Smith, 23, is working with the building consultancy team.
Amy, 21, pictured right, who went to Sheldon School in Chippenham and studied property agency and management at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, said she had learned a great deal in a very short time.
“I’m enjoying the chance to put everything I’ve been taught into practice,” she said. “Every day is different and I’m really looking forward to expanding my skills.”
Adam, 23, pictured below, who grew up in the West Midlands and studied building surveying at Nottingham Trent University, said he was enjoying working in an area with so many historic buildings.
“Learning about the special features of the buildings is fascinating. I also like the challenge of working as part of a bigger team on larger projects,” he said.
Carter Jonas operates a three-year graduate scheme across all property disciplines. The Bath office currently has five graduates in various stages of their development programme in commercial property, valuations and building surveying.
Bath office head and commercial partner Philip Marshall said: “We are pleased to bolster our teams with the addition of Amy and Adam and welcome them onto the graduate scheme.
“Their contribution and the hands-on experience they gain will be invaluable as they progress through the programme and follow in the footsteps of our other graduate surveyors who are now qualified and working within the firm.”
Carter Jonas’ Bath office is one of 35 across England and Wales, employing more than 700 partners and staff, with 28 equity partners.
The firm helps clients sell, let, manage and add value to their properties, whether residential homes, farms and estates, development land, offices, industrial or retail buildings.
