Construction consulting firm Voloco has doubled its workforce and achieved annual sales growth of 80% after expanding its services this year.
The firm, which now employs eight staff, also moved to larger offices in Marshfield from its previous serviced accommodation at Aztec West, near Bristol.
Voloco provides bespoke flexible and responsive services such as quantity surveying, bid management, design management, planning and programming to the construction industry.
It works nationally with a range of blue-chip clients including ISG, Integral, Hexagon Construction, BECT and Brookes Property.
Voloco was founded by CEO Ben Webb, pictured, in 2014 to provide services to construction and development companies during peak workloads.
Six years on it is increasing its focus on supporting small and growing contractors that often do not have the manpower or capabilities they need to fulfil projects in their teams.
Earlier this year it took on Lea Mavroudis Stephens, who has four decades’ experience in the industry, as planning and programme consultant – the latest of four new hires in 2020.
With the construction industry impacted by Covid-19, Voloco has been able to provide a broad range of contractor support services, with tender risk review being particularly sought after.
With further changes linked to IR35 contractor legislation on the horizon, the firm is now gearing up to help with spikes in workloads across the board.
Ben Webb said: “It’s brilliant to end 2020 on such a positive note. The team has worked hard throughout the year to reinforce existing relationships and forge new ones – particularly those locally.
“With our new office base we’re well set up for the immediate months and also what will hopefully be a time beyond Covid. 2021 will see us continuing our growth plans, rolling out a new website and launching an innovative portal subscription service we’ve been planning.”
The firm’s new offices not only allow the larger team to meet more easily with social distancing in place but can also safely welcome clients.
