Bath law firm Mowbray Woodwards has made a key appointment as increasing demand in its private client practice continues to drive the growth of the business.
Solicitor Elizabeth Metcalfe, pictured, joins Mowbray Woodwards’ personal tax, trusts and probate team from Goughs Solicitors in Chippenham, where she specialised in all aspects of private client work including probate and estate administration.
The team, headed by David Whitworth, was recognised last year by independent research guide the Legal 500 for being ‘professional, friendly and trustworthy’ and continues to go from strength to strength as demand increases for its specialist, in-depth understanding and advice.
Elizabeth said: “As a relatively newly qualified solicitor, I’m delighted to be joining such an established, successful firm as Mowbray Woodwards which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
“The private client team is renowned for its experience and expertise helping clients and their families with their wills, probate, estate administration and advising on issues such as Lasting Power of Attorney for elderly and vulnerable clients.
“I thoroughly enjoy private client practice and relish the challenge of dealing with trust and probate law which can at times be quite complex. One of the best things about my work is meeting lots of different clients all with very different circumstances and helping them to make the right decisions to get their affairs in order.”
David Whitworth added: “A big welcome to Elizabeth, whose knowledge and understanding of private client law and her ambition, enthusiasm and professionalism will be a huge asset to our growing team.”
