The leasehold of the 18th-century Jolly Sailor pub and restaurant on the banks of the River Avon at Saltford Lock is for sale with a price tag of nearly £200,000.

The Grade II listed pub, believed to date from 1726, attracts trade from passing boats, locals and tourists. Its restaurant has around 80 internal covers and an extensive riverside seating area for a further 200 diners. The owner’s accommodation, included in the sale, has river views.

The leasehold interest in the property is being marketed by leisure property specialist Fleurets. Kevin Conibear, from Fleurets, who is handling the sale said: Riverside properties always prove extremely popular and the setting of the Jolly Sailor is spectacular.

“Being immediately adjacent to Saltford Lock results in significant water traffic, with the number of boats passing and the extensive outside areas make this an extremely popular destination.

“This is a high turnover business accommodated in a building full of character and in a superb position between Bristol and Bath.”

Premium offers of £195,000 are being invited.
