Two new spa suites have been launched at a hotel near Bath to capitalise on the rise of wellness tourism.
The lodges at Homewood Hotel & Spa at Freshford, pictured, include private hot tubs, barrel saunas and plunge pools, while the rustic-style interiors features a combination of natural tones, stone walls and mirrors.
Alongside the new spa suites, Homewood – owned by Bath boutique hotel group the Kaleidoscope Collection – is also introducing a wellness menu that guests can access through their phones.
They can choose from options such as green smoothies, protein breakfasts, ice for baths, a selection of Gaia products or a glass of rosé.
The launch of the new lodges comes ahead of a £3m upgrade of the 31-bedroom hotel, which will add six new luxury guest suites, each with their own private terraces and a small meeting and events space.
There will also be extensions to the existing spa, including a new entrance foyer, an additional double treatment room, fitness suite and post-treatment relaxation space.
As part of the masterplan, new landscape planting and additional parking will be also provided.
The Kaleidoscope Collection also owns the 31-bedroom The Bird, Bath, on Bath’s Pulteney Road, Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa, a 19th-century, 32-bedroom country house hotel near Warminster, and No.7 Upper Lansdown, a luxurious two-bedroom house, close to Bath city centre.
The new Homewood spa suites are priced from £475 a night.
