PR legend Lynne Franks and Cold Feet creator Mike Bullen are appearing at Creative Bath events over the next two months as the organisation goes from strength to strength.

Businesswoman, author, broadcaster and public speaker Ms Franks is often described as a PR guru, lifestyle advisor and visionary. She was the inspiration for Edina in the TV comedy Absolutely Fabulous and throughout her remarkable career has worked with many of the world’s biggest brands. Recently her focus has been on sustainability, social justice and corporate responsibly which has led her to found SEED – Sustainable Enterprise and Empowerment Dynamics – to coach women on economic empowerment, sustainable business practices and creative leadership. She is passionate about supporting women in business and her latest venture, B.Hive, is a series of stylish female-only business lounges offering flexible working space and a supportive business network both on and off-line.

At the event on May 24 she will discuss:

  • Future trends. How creativity, connection and community can ensure a sustainable, positive way forward
  • Her many years’ experience in the cut-throat world of fashion PR. What she has learnt from her mistakes and her successes
  • What it’s like to be the inspiration for a world-famous TV comedy series
  • What taking part in reality TV does to the soul (Lynne is a survivor of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity and C4’s Come Dine With Me)

Tickets at £10 each are available from http://lynnefrankskeynote.eventbrite.co.uk. The event, which is sponsored by law firm Thrings and Milson Place, is between 6pm and 8pm The Octagon, Milsom Place.

Mike Bullen will host a screenwriting masterclass for Creative Bath members on April 24 at The Natural Theatre Company in Widcombe.

As well as creating the multi award-winning ITV comedy drama Cold Feet, which ran for five series, Mike has been a radio producer, winning the Sony Gold award for Best Documentary Feature. He currently has three TV series in development with UK networks. During his speech, Mike will be sharing:

  • The dos and don’ts of writing for the screen
  • How to break into the industry and get your work seen by the right people
  • What it’s like to create such a phenomenally successful, genre-defining show
