A coworking operator on a mission to provide what it calls “amazing spaces that meet the diverse needs of modern businesses” has praised the work of Bath-based workplace design company Interaction on its latest project.
According to FOUNDRY, people “fall in love” with the space in Wandsworth, London, as soon as they walk into it.
Part of a new flagship development that includes more than 1,000 new homes, independent shops and hospitality businesses, the 14,000 sq ft scheme over two floors features a mix of private offices, dedicated desks and a boutique coworking lounge, the space aims to bring businesses together.
It also includes a large, social breakout area on the mezzanine level, providing a focal point for FOUNDRY members, and a central courtyard offering them a space to socialise.
It has been designed by Interaction to meet the BREEAM excellent sustainable building certification, mirroring the standard set in the rest of the development, and has achieved an energy performance certificate (EPC) rating of A.
All timber used is from sustainable sources that are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, while all materials and paint are free of volatile organic compounds which emit polluting gases.
Making the most of tall windows that flood the space with natural light, Interaction has included a double height gallery wall featuring limited edition screenprints by London artists.
FOUNDRY also operates flexible workspaces in London’s Walthamstow and in Eastbourne and Poole.
FOUNDRY marketing lead Garry James said: “Interaction have been exceptional. They are detailed, dynamic, they’re great people.
“The end product is first class – we have people walk in every day and fall in love with the space.”
Interaction creative lead Pamela D’Alessandro said: “Foundry’s mission is to provide amazing coworking spaces that meet the diverse needs of modern businesses.
“So we’re excited to be working alongside a business that shares our mission to banish boring offices.
“This stunning new facility is more than just a place to work – it’s designed to drive connections between members and build a strong community of likeminded businesses.”
Interaction has been behind a raft of state-of-the-art and wellbeing-focused offices over recent years, including international law firm Osborne Clarke’s HQ in Bristol, which recently won the Fit Out Workplace title at the prestigious British Council for Offices’ (BCO) annual awards.
It has also created new workspaces for Bristol-headquartered national law firm TLT, global engineering consultancy Arup, and for fast-growing software development and digital services specialist Amdaris.
