Law firm Thrings is celebrating 15 promotions across the firm – including its first environmental consultant – as it continues to develop and strengthen its teams.
Two new partners, two legal directors, three senior associates and seven associates have been appointed in the latest tranche of promotions across its offices, including Bath. 
Almost half the cohort began their careers with the firm as either a trainee or newly qualified solicitor, demonstrating, Thrings said, its continued commitment to developing its own staff.
The two new partners are Tara Connor-McLaren, (family), pictured top row right, and Simon McIlroy, (property litigation), pictured centre second left, from Thrings’ Bristol and Bath office respectively, with new legal directors Naomi Butler, (real estate, Bath and Bristol), pictured centre left, and Gavin Smith (succession and tax, Bath), who advance from their previous positions as senior associates.
Meanwhile, the three new senior associates are Rukshana Khanom (succession and tax) in Romsey, Abi Sinden (commercial), who is based across both Swindon and Romsey, and Gemma Goode (succession and tax) in the Lydney office. 
Six lawyers in Thrings’ Bristol office have been made associates, including Charlotte Clack, (real estate), pictured centre right, Katie McAlone, (property litigation), pictured top left, Kiran Maher, (planning), pictured bottom left, Laura Shermon, (employment), pictured bottom right, Dan Gibson, (commercial dispute resolution), pictured centre third left, and Claire Kretzmann, who works for Thrings subsidiary Paragon Costs.
The final new associate is in the firm’s Lydney office with Moses Thompson stepping up within the succession and tax team.
Planning and environment team as solicitor Harvey Davies has been appointed the firm’s first environmental consultant, reflecting his expertise within the emerging natural capital market, including his work to support developers and landowners around biodiversity net gain and nutrient neutrality matters.
Thrings managing partner Simon Holdsworth said he was proud to see so many talented colleagues taking the next pivotal steps in their careers.
“These promotions are a direct result of the hard work and dedication to their clients and to the firm, and I want to congratulate each and every one of them on this achievement,” he added.

Thrings has seven offices across the South West and South focused on enabling growth and success for its clients, contacts and staff.
