The leading independent research guide Legal 500 2015 has confirmed the continued success of Bath-based law firm Mowbray Woodwards over the past 12 months.
The firm, which has been helping clients with their legal affairs in the heart of Bath for nearly 70 years, received special recognition for its private client work in two key areas – namely, family law and personal tax, trusts and probate. 
Mowbray Woodwards’ family law department is described as ‘excellent in every case’ for its expert handling of child and high-value matrimonial disputes. Managing partner and head of family law, Tracey Smith, received a special mention as having ‘all the qualities you would want in a matrimonial solicitor’.
Highlighting Mowbray Woodwards’ specialist personal tax, trusts and probate offering, Legal 500 commented the team is ‘professional, friendly and trustworthy’. In addition, partner David Whitworth, who heads up the department, is praised as ‘sensible and reliable’.
The Legal 500 guide is compiled following extensive feedback from clients and competitors as well as in-depth interviews with staff members.
