West accountants Bishop Fleming’s tax practice has been hailed as the best in any regional firm in the country.
The accolade was announced at the 2013 LexisNexis Taxation Awards at a black-tie ceremony attended by 700 tax professionals at London's Hilton Park Lane Hotel.
Bishop Fleming, which has a large office in Bath, is Britain’s fastest-growing Top 50 accountancy firm.
Its head of tax Andrew Browne said: “This is a huge accolade for the tax team in all our offices, and confirms that our tax strategy is working.
“We have tax partners and directors in every one of our seven offices and we are unusual in having a VAT director, two technical tax directors, three experts in international tax, and tax specialists in technology, tourism, charities, academy schools, care-homes, and personal wealth.
“The LexisNexis awards are the gold standard of excellence in the UK tax industry, and everyone in our firm-wide tax team, now totaling more than 50 specialists, has been instrumental in Bishop Fleming being singled out for this national award.”
Bishop Fleming has offices in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Truro, and Worcester as well as Bath. It moved into Bath having bought parts of rival firm Target out of administration in December 2011.
