Bath marketing communications agency Marcom has celebrated 30 years in business by running a series of free webinars on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to help firms during the coronavirus lockdown.
The digital marketing specialist has been at the forefront of technologies and trends since it was founded in 1990 by Mark Baines, pictured, below left, with fellow director Ben Powell.
Mark, a Chartered Marketer, has ensured Marcom is always ahead of the curve.
While SEO is not new, the strategies required to be successful change every time Google updates its algorithms.
Mark said: “Our teams include specialists at the cutting edge of technological development and marketing. Now it’s vital to be at the top of Google’s search pages, so we help brands achieve that success.”
In its 30th year, the business has decided to share some of its specialist skills and experience for free as a way of helping Bath organisations during the coronavirus crisis.
Mark said: “We want to help brands weather the lockdown and looming recession so they emerge with greater equity and higher up on Google’s results pages.
“That way they will be in a stronger position to trade more successfully after this very difficult period.”
Marcom ran a series of free weekly webinars on the different aspects of SEO, ranging from a general introduction to its principles and benefits to use of backlinks and keyword strategies.
It now plans further free webinars to improve the resilience of Bath businesses during the crisis.
