Chase de Vere Medical, the specialist arm of the national independent financial advisory firm with an office in Bath, is extending its offering to more doctors and healthcare workers following the launch of a new partnership.
It has teamed up with the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM) to offer its members expert independent financial advice from Chase de Vere Medical on the NHS Pension Scheme, retirement strategies, investment services, financial protection and estate planning.
They will also have access to a wealth of articles, guides and events on these subjects, which are specifically designed for medical professionals.
FMLM was set up by all the medical royal colleges and faculties in 2011 as an independent charity and the UK professional home for medical leadership.
It has the primary objective of raising the standard of patient care by supporting doctors and healthcare organisations to improve medical leadership. Its 2,200 members and fellows are a combination of senior medical leaders, consultants, doctors, trainees and students.
Chase de Vere launched its medical division last July to provide a service focused on independent financial advice for the medical profession. The move followed its acquisition the previous year of Medical Money Management, which specialised in providing financial planning advice to medical, dental and other professionals.
Separately, Chase de Vere has also worked in partnership with the British Medical Association (BMA) since 2005 and given advice to 12,000 BMA members.
Head of Chase de Vere Medical Andrea Sproates, pictured, said: “Our partnership with FMLM is a great fit. We have 65 independent financial advisers based around the UK who specialise in providing financial advice to the medical profession, and we are committed to providing their members with informative events and access to information to ensure they make the most of the pension and other benefits provided by their employer and of their wider personal finances.”
FMLM chief executive and medical director Peter Lees added: “As industry experts, we believe Chase de Vere Medical’s independent, specialist financial advice and planning will be a major benefit for our members, wherever they are in their medical career, and will provide valuable support those with questions or concerns around the NHS Pension Scheme.”
Chase de Vere is backed by Swiss Life, one of Europe’s leading life assurance companies. It has 16 offices across the UK, including Bath.
