Bath legal and financial planning firm Mogers Drewett has strengthened its commitment to help struggling families this Christmas by stepping up its support for local foodbanks.
The firm, which also has offices in Wells, Sherborne and Frome, is again accepting donations of non-perishable food items at all its offices.
These much-needed donations will go to foodbanks in the four locations, which always experience a surge in demand in the run-up to Christmas.
Mogers Drewett announced last year that it planned to build longer-term relationships with its local foodbanks after staff raised £1,000 for each during the previous festive season.
Mogers Drewett marketing and events executive Daizee Rocker-Cook, pictured below, said: “We are once again setting up foodbank collection points for clients and staff to donate non-perishable goods during the festive period, when many families struggle to make ends meet.
“This year, we’re going further by directly supporting local foodbanks in every community where we have an office.”
“Whether it was a can of soup, a bag of pasta or a jar of peanut butter, every donation counted, she added.
“Non-perishable food items are essential to keeping our local foodbanks stocked, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry this Christmas.
“We are also accepting cash donations so look out for our cash collection tins in each office.”
In Bath, Mogers Drewett has been a proud supporter of the Genesis Trust for several years.
Daizee said the trust’s remarkable work continued to make a difference to local families and so the firm was excited to team up with it again to bring aid to those who need it most.
In Wells, Mogers Drewett has teamed up with South West accountancy firm Old Mill, which also has an office in the city, to collect donations for Wells Storehouse.
Previously known as Wells Vineyard Foodbank, the Storehouse’s dedicated team provides essential services, serving those in need with food and compassion.
It is also collecting for Fair Frome and Sherborne Food Bank.
Mogers Drewett employs nearly 100 people across its four offices, providing a full range of legal services for businesses and individuals.
