Bath-based publishing group Future will next week launch Science Uncovered, a monthly magazine with in-depth coverage of the latest breakthroughs in technology, space, nature, humans and engineering.
The magazine, which will be available in print and digital form, will also have contributions from experts giving their own insights into the latest discoveries as well as diagrams and illustrations and experiments that can be carried out at home.
Future said: “Science Uncovered is a comprehensive guide to the science that will transform our lives, explained by renowned experts. It brings together renowned scientists from around the globe to explain how the world around us works. From the far reaches of the universe to the inner workings of our brains, these experts will provide a window into the very boundaries of our knowledge.
“Readers will be able to peer into the future and see how today’s breakthroughs will change how we live.”
Science Uncovered joins Future’s portfolio of titles including T3, Total Film, Cycling Plus, Mollie Makes and Official Xbox Magazine. It has the leading publications in a range of specialist areas spanning technology, games, film and music to creative and design and sport.
Its 200-plus titles sold more than 24m copies last year in 89 countries.
Last month Future said advertising bookings for the first quarter of its 2014 financial year were up by more than 30% on the same point last year.
It also said it was making good progress in reshaping the business and continued to pursue cost savings in order to improve operating margins.
