Estate agency and property group Andrews has appointed Tim Bishop as its new business systems manager – the third senior IT role to be created at the firm in the past year.
Tim, pictured, joins Keynsham head-quartered Andrews from the Financial Supervisory Authority of Iceland where he was software engineer based in Reykjavik for three-and-a-half years. His career in IT spans more than12 years, prior to which he was an officer in the Royal Navy. 
In his new role he will manage a five-strong business systems development team, with overall responsibility for developing software systems that meet the bespoke needs of Andrews’ customer and branch network.
With no off-the-shelf product available that provides the level of accessibility that Andrews demands of its IT system, the business has taken the decision to invest heavily in creating a sector-leading team to meet its needs.
Tim said: “Having worked for a government agency for the last few years, I am very much looking forward to integrating myself back in to a commercial environment.
“Andrews prides itself on ensuring that its technology is available for customers to engage with in any way and at any time that they wish – an omni-channel approach more often associated with the retail market. It is my aim to ensure that, along with my team, I deliver a high standard of software engineering that not only supports this, but which also realises productivity gains.”

Andrews mark its 70th anniversary this year – an event it plans to celebrate by taking its 54-strong branch network, which stretches from Kent, Sussex and Surrey to Bristol and Gloucestershire, to 70.
