Bath-based workplace design and build company Interaction has expanded its team with six new appointments following a string of project wins.

The firm, which recently moved to new state-of-the-art offices, has appointed construction industry specialist Ollie Caunt as contracts director.

Ollie, pictured, will head Interaction’s contracts team and help manage a growing pipeline of new design projects.

He has more than 10 years’ experience working in construction and project management, and joins Interaction from construction company Willmott Dixon, where he has spent the past six years, most recently as operations manager.

He has also worked in the Bristol offices of Midas and ISG.

Ollie said: “I’m very excited to be joining such a dynamic and creative company with a strong workplace culture. Interaction’s team-based ethos and can-do approach to challenges is hugely inspiring to me.”

Also joining Interaction as its new project lead is Tyler Doak, who will help to ensure that design projects are delivered perfectly. Tyler is returning to the firm having previously worked in the same role between 2019 and 2020.

Meanwhile, Siouxzee Cummings joins as executive assistant to managing director Dieter Wood and commercial director Gary Duguid.

This is a new role for the firm and will ensure Dieter and Gary have more time to share with staff, clients and key partners.

Three recent graduates – Katherine Webb, Walid Nader and Tommaso Parenti – have joined the firm’s Project Academy as project administrators.

The new appointments take Interaction’s total headcount to 56 and follows the firm’s move to its new HQ.

Known as The Quarter, the Grade II listed building in Edgar Mews, has been transformed into a flexible workspace, creating one of the largest new office developments in the area.

The move follows a record year for Interaction and a string of major design projects, including international law firm Osborne Clarke’s flagship base in Bristol, which is one of the UK’s greenest office developments.

Dieter Wood said: “We’re delighted to welcome so many new faces – and one not so new – to the team.

“They join us at a busy time for the firm as we embark on an exciting new year with a pipeline full of fantastic new design projects. We wish them all every success in their new roles.”

Last November, privately-owned Interaction, which has been creating workplaces since 1992, became a B Corporation, the latest firm in the region to join the movement to use business as a force for good for people and the planet.
