Lloyds Bank’s commercial real estate team has appointed David Willock as relationship director for the South West and Wales.
He joins from RBS, where he was a senior director in its Bristol real estate team. During his 10 years with RBS he was responsible for loan origination and client management for real estate clients across the South of England and South West and led a number of major transactions, including bond placements and large development facilities.
Originally from Paignton, David is an associate with the Association of Corporate Treasurers and is studying for membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
He will report to Lloyds commercial real estate’s head of UK regions Brian Darling and support the activity of the bank’s six specialist real estate divisions across the South West and Wales. The bank’s client portfolio in the region was previously managed from London.
Brian Darling said: “David is a highly experienced property banker, having worked on a wide variety of complex real estate transactions. He knows the region intimately and has worked with private and listed property companies, private equity backed asset managers and landed estates that are active across the area.
“We’re focused on growing our presence in dynamic markets like the South West and Wales where we see opportunities to support regional business and new development through both ‘vanilla’ and more complex funding arrangements. David will spearhead our expansion in the region.”
