NatWest has appointed John Bendall as regional director – business banking for the South West.
John, pictured, has worked for the bank for 28 years and was previously the bank’s director – business banking for North and Mid Devon.
In his new role he will oversee the NatWest’s links with businesses in the region turning over up to £2m and borrowing requirements up to £500,000.
He will lead a dedicated team of seven directors and 75 relationship managers working across sectors such as healthcare, real estate finance, tourism and agriculture.
John said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this role. It’s a tremendous opportunity and there are strong aspirations to grow the business further through our team of locally based relationship managers offering a unique face to face relationship service.”
John replaces Chris Preston in May moved up to the position of regional managing director – business banking, for the South West and Wales.
