Accountancy and financial planning firm Old Mill, which has offices in Melksham and Wells, is celebrating two of its staff achieving top marks in the South West in their ICAEW ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualifications.
Bradley Horton and Chris Bennett were among six staff from Old Mill to gain the qualification.
Bradley, who has worked for Old Mill for just over six years, achieved top marks in the region for his case study, while Chris won an award for his business change exam.
Chris said: “I was quite surprised given that I thought this exam was the most difficult of the three I took at the November sitting. But obviously I am really pleased to have won.
“Old Mill has been very supportive throughout my study and I think that this support combined with the quality of teaching and advice by the tutors at Reed were both important factors in helping me do so well.”
Old Mill board member Ian Carlson said the results demonstrated the level of talent at the firm, which also has offices in Exeter, Yeovil and Dorchester.
“We are so proud that our staff have again performed so well in their ACA exams,” he said.
“This is a very tough qualification to obtain, so having not only six qualifiers, but two prize winners too is fantastic, and a real testament to the ongoing hard work undertaken by all Old Mill staff in everything they do.
“We always strive to recruit very talented individuals so that we can continue to offer the outstanding service to our clients that we pride ourselves on. We also do whatever we can to help our staff enjoy interesting and challenging careers right here in the West Country.”
