Access-to-Time, the Midsomer Norton-based time and attendance systems firm, has won a contract with Olympic 2012 venue the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA).
As the UK’s premier sailing venue, the WPNSA is hosting all sailing events for the Olympics and Paralympic Games.
The centre, which boasts world-class facilities and attracts sailors from around the globe, employs 21 full-time and part-time staff across a number of disciplines.
It chose Access-to-Time to provide its cutting-edge time and attendance system Focus Pro, enabling staff and volunteers to ‘clock in’ and ‘clock out’ quickly and effectively using a simple keying fob.
WPNSA business manager Chris Knight said: “Our process for recording staff time and attendance relied on self-logging paper sheets to track working hours. This was open to all kinds of inaccuracies and human error.
“There is now no need to mess around with sheets of paper anymore. Staff members simply ‘clock in’ via a proximity clocking terminal which accurately and quickly logs starting and finishing times. The information provided by the system is a huge benefit to our business.
“It deals with our multiple shifts system effortlessly and the fact that it provides useful reporting data which we can extract and use to implement payroll more smoothly makes it a valuable operational management tool.”
Access-to-Time director Alastair Slade added: “As a keen sailor myself, it is thrilling to be working with the WPNSA and to be contributing to the smooth running of their operations.”
Since its launch in 1999, Access-to-Time has become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of time and attendance systems (T&A), helping businesses save time and money by managing their workforce’s attendance more efficiently.
Its products range from simple web-based T&A systems to those incorporating access control, managing flexi-time, time-in-lieu, complex rotas and payroll functions.
