The National Trust is to hold an open day at Bath’s 18-century Prior Park Landscape Garden to give potential volunteers a chance to find out about the roles available and what they entail.
Staff and current volunteers will be on hand to share their experiences at the event between 10.30am and 2.30pm on Saturday 14 January and explain the roles for meeting and greeting visitors, garden guides, catering assistants, visitor experience volunteers and outdoor volunteers.
Visitor experience manager Katy Smith said: “We value each and every one of our volunteers for the unique contributions they make and we’re always looking for more people to join the team. The working atmosphere here is fantastic and everyone’s always very welcoming.
“Volunteering can be extremely rewarding. Benefits range from learning new skills and improving your CV, to making friends and knowing you’re making a unique contribution to our work.”
Prior Park has amazing views of Bath and one of only four Palladian Bridges in the world. It also offers visitors a tranquil setting to escape to and enjoy.
