TEDxBath returns later this year with a mission to “kick-start new and inclusive conversations” – with its organisers now offering sponsorship packages to firms in the city and beyond.

The event, to be staged in The Forum on Saturday 14 October, will feature six speakers and two acts and, according to the team behind it, generate unlimited ideas.

TEDx events have been held in Bath every year since 2019, with last year’s 1,500 attendees witnessing a range of mind-opening talks from speakers aged from 12 to 82.

This year’s speaking panel will be named at a later date – but, in the meantime, the team of volunteers behind the event is seeking business sponsors to help meet its costs.

A TEDxBath spokesperson said: “We’re a not-for-profit organisation, so we are hugely grateful to our sponsors and supporters.

“We aim to share ideas and issues that relate to the Bath community and our mission is to kick-start new and inclusive conversations. We’re a diverse and team of local volunteers united by a desire to encourage positive change.

“TEDxBath is for everyone and anyone enthusiastic about ideas for the future.”

The Platinum package, at £3,000, includes first choice of sponsorship of one talk, a feature in the event programme, a link on the Bath TEDx website and 30 VIP tickets to the event, along with other branding and marketing opportunities.

The £1,000 Gold package includes 10 VIP tickets and an allocated talk sponsorship, as well as a feature in the event programme, a link on the Bath TEDx website and other marketing opportunities, while the Silver package, which costs £500, has five VIP tickets, a feature in the event programme and a link on the Bath TEDx website.

The organisers are also seeking ‘in-kind’ sponsors that can supply relevant services to the event.

Existing supporters include the University of Bath, Bath Spa University, Bath college and Radio Bath.
