The chair of national law firm Stone King, which has an office in Bath, has been named as the Outstanding Individual of the Year in an awards scheme that champions women in the wealth sector.
Ann Phillips, pictured, was also shortlisted in the Woman of the Year – Leadership (Professional Services) category of the Citywealth Powerwomen Awards, which took place at the Rosewood London Hotel last week.
The awards recognise individuals and companies who maximise the potential of women in wealth, celebrate female leadership and diversity and highlight the female leaders of today and tomorrow.
Ann, who has been chair of Stone King for five years, said: “I feel very honoured to win this award.
“There were many excellent entries and I am very proud to have been recognised in this way.”
Ann, who is based in the firm’s London office, works with all varieties of charity and social enterprise structures, advising on constitutional and governance issues, mergers and restructuring, and dealings with the Charity Commission and other regulators.
She also has particular depth of experience of heritage and fine arts organisations and endowed charities of all kinds, including Royal Charter charities and also military charities.
She was chairman of the Charity Law Association from 2011 to 2014 and is a trustee of The Poetry Society.
Stone King managing partner Steven Greenwood said the award was very well-deserved.
“Ann is an inspirational figure to all at Stone King, combining fine leadership with exceptional knowledge,” he said.
“This award could not have gone to a better person and no doubt will inspire all at Stone King.”
Stone King also has offices in Birmingham, Cambridge and Leeds.
