National audit, tax and consulting firm RSM UK has promoted Richard Holm to partner in its regioanal VAT team to support its ambitious growth plans.
Richard, pictured, leads the VAT division across the South West. He has more than 20 years’ experience in advising clients on the VAT implications of business reorganisations, property and real estate transactions, international expansion and meeting compliance obligations.
His client portfolio ranges from small owner-managed businesses to large corporate and international groups. He also works nationally with businesses in the consumer sector and has specialist knowledge in the leisure and hospitality industry, particularly holiday parks and onshore gaming businesses.
RSM Bristol office managing partner Kate Reid said Richard’s appointment was testimony to his talent, hard work and expertise.
“His promotion is another step towards strengthening our capability and offering to meet the everchanging needs of middle market businesses in the South West,” she added.
Richard joined RSM two years ago from rival KPMG, where he spent three years as director indirect tax in its national markets – South team. He has also worked for PwC.
He said: “Becoming partner is a huge achievement and a major highlight of my time at RSM.
“I feel honoured to play a part in shaping the future of the firm and supporting businesses both in the South West and nationally to achieve their goals.”
Richard’s promotion to partner is one of 16 across its UK network of offices, with the individuals specialising in areas ranging from audit and corporate tax to legal services and risk assurance.
