Corporate recovery specialist Huw Jones has been appointed by insolvency practitioners McAlister & Co to head up its expansion across the South West.
An associate member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, Huw joins the growing firm as it looks to expand from its Welsh base – with work in Bath very much in its sights, especially as he is a Bath rugby fan.
After studying at Leicester University, Huw began a career in civil engineering before joining the Official Receiver in London in 1982.
Four years later he joined business consultants Arthur Young (later Ernst & Young) in Bristol as a senior administrator rising to manager.
From 1990-2011, he worked on a wide range of national and international assignments across a variety of business sectors as a senior manager with Bristol chartered accountants Solomon Hare, then part of the BDO Stoy Hayward organisation before becoming part of the Smith & Williamson group in 2005.
The bulk of his time will now be spent driving McAlister & Co’s growth in the South West and along the M4 corridor.
