Regional accountancy firm Bishop Fleming has added to its 2017 trophy haul by being named Large Practice of the Year at the UK’s Practice Excellence Awards.
The firm, which operates Bath’s largest accountants’ office, landed the accolade against stiff competition from across the country due to its significant growth in client advisory work, its development of new and innovative products and services, and for being identified by The Sunday Times as one of the best companies in the UK to work for.
The Practice Excellence award is the third won this year by Bishop Fleming, including the Business Growth Award for its payroll team.
The firm, whose seven offices span the West Midlands and South West, is also celebrating leaping up the charts of the accountancy league tables to be ranked 30th in the country, as reported by Bath Business News last week, and achieving a 12% increase in annual turnover to £22m.
Bishop Fleming managing partner Matthew Lee, pictured, said: “I’m delighted that we have won this prestigious award. It is a recognition of the firm’s proven track record of commercial success and growth, and reflects the wealth of talent within the firm.
“These awards and our ranking reflect our strengthening team and are a recognition of how we help our clients to achieve their full potential. We continually invest in new talent, and we are always looking to expand our team even further.”
Bishop Fleming staff have been engaged in online Practice Excellence workshops on such diverse topics as GDPR, tax, and marketing over the past week.
Mr Lee added: “Our ongoing employee training and development programmes ensure our people have the best skills to enable them to deliver exceptional service to clients.”
Bishop Fleming delivers accounting, tax, corporate, restructuring and advisory services to businesses and private wealth advice to individuals.
