Bath-headquartered law firm Stone King has been shortlisted in the Large Firm of the Year category in this year’s Law Society Excellence Awards.
Stone King, which employs more than 240 people across its five offices, is one of 10 firms competing for the award. In total 22 awards will be handed over at the gala ceremony on October 17 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.
The awards, now in their 12th year, celebrate excellence across the profession and champion the work of solicitors across England and Wales. Winners are chosen by a panel of expert judges.
Stone King managing partner Steven Greenwood, pictured, said the firm was delighted to have been shortlisted for this accolade, especially as it is the first year it is being awarded.
“Stone King are national leaders in the education and charity sectors, and we continually strive to deliver the best service for our clients. We are now looking forward to the awards in October,” he said.
The firm dates back to 1785 in Bath. In June it opened a base in Birmingham following a year spent recruiting and building its presence in the West Midlands. It also has offices in Cambridge, Leeds and London.
