MDS Technologies, the Chippenham-based enterprise and digital platform service provider, has been named as one of the UK’s fastest-growing private tech companies.
The firm, whose blue-chip customers include a range of central Government departments, local authorities, NHS organisations and large IT service providers, appears in 54st place in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table.
The table, published this Sunday, ranks Britain’s top 100 TMT (technology, media, telecoms) companies in private ownership with the fastest-growing sales over the past three years.
MDS, which has its head office on Chippenham’s Methuen Business Park and data centres in Corsham and Hampshire, has grown its sales revenue from £1.6m in 2013 to £7m in 2016.
The firm designs, builds and manages the platforms that underpin high-profile digital and enterprise services, and is one of the top-50 suppliers (out of more than 1,200) on the government’s G-Cloud procurement framework.
Managing director Karen Young, pictured, said: “It is an honour to have been placed 54th in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 fastest-growing company list. In an age when public sector spending has been closely controlled, we’ve significantly grown our presence in this market.
“We believe this is down to our agility as an SME, coupled with our approach of providing customers with truly independent advice and working in partnership with them to create digital and enterprise service platforms that genuinely meet their needs and, importantly, deliver value for money.”
MDS employs 45 people across its three sites, the majority in its Chippenham headquarters.
