Law firm Royds Withy King, which has its head office in Bath, has further strengthened its business with the appointment of four new partners.
Lee Taylor will lead the firm’s Bath-based residential development team in the city from next month.
Lee is joining the firm from Lyons Davidson in Bristol, where he was head of real estate. Prior to that he held roles at Bevan Brittan and DAC Beachcroft, also in Bristol.
Royds Withy King said his experience would also strengthen its expertise in retirement village and healthcare development – a growth area for the firm, with clients including L&G-backed Inspired Villages and Brunelcare.
The other appointments are Rod Smith, who will become the new head of private client at the firm’s London office in May, and Vicky Hernandez and Carl Selby, who have joined the real estate and corporate teams respectively in its Oxford office.
Rod has more than 20 years’ experience advising on high-value, complex and multi-jurisdictional matters and currently leads the trust and estates team at the London office of law firm Stone King.
He is also completing his third term on the Law Society’s wills and equity committee.
Vicky and Carl have both arrived from Oxford firm Hedges Law in Oxford, bringing a team of three with them.
Royds Withy King managing partner Graham Street said: “All four partners are ambitious and talented. We’re delighted to welcome them to the firm and I’m sure they will be an asset to all our clients.
“We’ve established a national reach and reputation and enjoy working with national brands. Our latest appointments demonstrate that our firm is growing well and that we are investing in further building our strength, particularly in London.
“They will also enable us to deepen our capabilities in key practice areas, including private wealth, real estate and corporate law, plus supporting our growing sector retail team.”
