The Bath office of West accountants Bishop Fleming has appointed a record number of trainees. The six join shortly after the firm gained the title of Britain’s fourth best accountancy employer.
Iain Parnell and Joshua Goode have been appointed as graduate trainees for the three-year qualification as chartered accountants.
School leavers Mem Bradley and Joseph Hillman have joined Bishop Fleming’s specialist payroll team to train as payroll administrators, and Rea George – another school leaver – has joined the firm’s ATT training programme to become a personal tax specialist. A sixth trainee will be recruited shortly.
Bishop Fleming, which has a string of offices across the West of England, acquired the former Bath operations of Target Accountants two years and has incorporated the former Target team into the firm’s culture.
Partner in charge of Bishop Fleming’s Bath office, Andrew Sandiford, said: “This is the largest number of trainees that we have ever recruited in Bath and is testimony to the success of our operations after joining Bishop Fleming.
“Since becoming part of Bishop Fleming, we have also been able to move to a better office location and recruit an additional qualified chartered accountant and a qualified IFA (independent financial adviser).”
In the past year, Bishop Fleming has again been recognised as the UK’s fastest-growing Top 40 accountancy firm, has been named as the best tax-practice in any regional firm, has been identified as providing outstanding client service, as well as being ranked as one of the country’s best accountancy employers.
