Specialist lender Together, which provides growth finance to niche markets, has appointed a regional development director to help West of England businesses and entrepreneurs gain vital access to funding.
Paul Chadney, pictured, has more than 27 years’ experience in the finance industry and will cover a region stretching from Hampshire to Cornwall. He previously spent 23 years at Barclays and has also worked at Santander and Clydesdale.
Paul’s appointment is part of an ongoing expansion at Together, the recently launched rebrand of Jerrold Holdings, the parent company of Blemain Finance and Cheshire Mortgage Corporation.
The Together brand covers the group’s separate companies including Auction Finance, Bridging Finance and Lancashire Mortgage Corporation which offer residential and commercial mortgages and loans to niche market segments underserved by mainstream lenders.
He will support the professional sector arm of the business, which is committed to providing fast and flexible finance packages to businesses, property professionals and entrepreneurs.
Paul said: “It’s a really exciting time to join the team at Together and I’m looking forward to establishing a presence across the South West and growing our network of professional introducers.
“Along with my banking background, I also have experience of running my own business so really understand the needs of entrepreneurs. I believe there’s a gap in the market for supporting those entrepreneurs who have a significant stake to partner with us, but may not have access to funding from mainstream lenders.”
Together commercial director Chris Baguley added: “Our commercial division is enjoying phenomenal growth and it’s fantastic to have Paul join our team and expand our offering in the South West.
“Paul has vast experience working in the region’s business funding sector and his appointment will help us grow our professional network in this booming region. There is a strong appetite for short-term finance across the UK and through this latest appointment we look forward to meeting the growing demand.
“In July 2015 alone, we completed over £22m in funding across more than 81 transactions in our professional sector and auction finance divisions, and we expect our growth to continue as our team introduces Together to new markets.”
Together’s professional introducers include banks, solicitors, accountants and estate agents. The specialist lender says it takes a common-sense approach to lending and has a loan book of £1.4bn. Its total new lending for the year to June 30 2015 was more than £724m.
