Guests at Bath’s Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa will be able to take to the skies and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city as part of a luxury hot air balloon experience and package starting this spring.
After soaring high above Bath’s famous landmarks, guests will be able to relax with a glass of Taittinger Champagne when they land.
They will then be invited to stroll through the luxury hotel’s manicured gardens before sitting down to an afternoon tea, including a second glass of Taittinger.
The balloon experience, which will be available from 1 April until 30 September, is the latest to be launched by the 45-bedroom hotel & spa, which is owned by London-based, privately owned investment group Topland, and comes as Bath’s hospitality sector continues to recovery from the impact of the Covid pandemic.
Created by head pastry chef Michael Topp, the classic menu for the afternoon tea will include a selection of locally sourced, freshly baked Bath buns and scones, pastries, cakes and sandwiches.
Following tea, guests will be given complimentary access to The Spa & Bath House and a one-night stay in one of the hotel’s rooms or suites.
Prior to departure the following morning, a full English breakfast will be available in the hotel’s Dower House Restaurant.
