Alice Nunn, an in-house planner at Bath-based planning, design and regeneration consultancy Nash Partnership, has been elected as a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), increasing the practice’s complement of chartered town planners to four.
To gain membership, Alice, pictured, had to undertake an assessment, which included submitting a portfolio across a variety of planning work and a proposed plan of professional development. 
This included her work last year on obtaining planning permission for a large, indoor trampoline centre in Bristol for client Freedog, which already had a similar site in Swindon.
Alice works with Nash Partnership’s designers, heritage and regeneration experts on projects across the UK. This multiple skill set has helped her develop a wide range of planning experience, which supported her successful application.
In 2015, just 45% of the RTPI’s applicants made it through at the first attempt, which makes Alice’s achievement even more significant. The RTPI has around 1,500 chartered members in the South West region.
Alice, who has worked for Nash Partnership for three-and-a-half years, said she was delighted to have gained chartered member status. “The designation of MRTPI is a sign of competence and professionalism, and I look forward to continuing my involvement with the RTPI in the coming months and years,” she added.
