A cross-sector team from Bath-headquartered law firm Royds Withy King has advised on a major takeover in the UK laundry equipment businesses.
Barnsley-based Wolf Laundry, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of commercial laundry equipment, acquired Brewer & Bunney for an undisclosed seven-figure sum.
Brewer & Bunney, based Redruth, Cornwall, is the largest supplier and distributor of commercial and industrial laundry and dishwashing equipment in the South West.
Founded more than 40 years ago, it now operates across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
The acquisition, which has increased the size of Wolf Laundry’s workforce by more than 50% from 45 to 70, is part of Wolf Laundry’s strategic growth plan, which is focused on strengthening the manufacturing and supply aspects of its UK business.
The Royds Withy King team advising Wolf Laundry was led by partner and head of the corporate team John North, supported by senior associate Bharti Moore and solicitors Irene Trubbiani Montagnac and Shaun Young from the firm’s corporate practice. They were assisted by the London office real estate and employment team.

Accountants Mazars advised Wolf Laundry on the finance and tax aspects of the acquisition.
