Paralegal Chris McIntosh, who works in the Bath office of law firm Stone King, has returned from the Central American and Caribbean Games (CACG) with a silver medal after competing in the men’s Rugby Sevens.

Chris, pictured in action during the tournament, who works in the firm’s commercial property team, has represented Jamaica since 2018, travelling around the world to play for the team affectionately known as the Crocs.

In the last CACG in 2018 the team secured a bronze. This time they went one better, earning silver in the final in El Salvador against favourites Colombia, despite scoring an early try.

The medal now puts Jamaica in contention for what could be the team’s Olympic debut in Paris next year.

Chris, who has worked for Stone King for nearly a year, said: “Representing Jamaica is a privilege, and I am so lucky to be able to compete in a sport I love while seeing new countries and gaining new experiences.

“Although it was disappointing not to take gold, we are delighted with our silver medal and looking forward to doing even better next tournament.”

Stone King head of commercial property Caroline Taylor added: “We are so very proud of Chris, not only is he an excellent member of our team but a fantastic sportsman as well.”

Stone King, which employs more than 230 people, also has offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds and London and is a national leader in the charity, faith and education sectors.
