A Saturday start-up clinic is to be held for the first time to allow more would-be entrepreneurs across Bath and North East Somerset to access free expert advice on launching their own business.
The Business Start-up programme provides free training and support to help people see if their idea are viable and, if so, receive guidance on taking them forward.
The scheme, staged by the Bath & North East Somerset Support Service, is run by Chipping Sodbury-based business consultancy Cool Ventures, which has been helping small businesses to start, grow and thrive for almost 10 years.
The program offers the tools, information and practical advice needed by those considering starting up and running a business.
Until now it has been run in the week – but with many people now deciding to follow their dream of start their own business while still in a job, Cool Ventures decided to stage a Saturday session to will allow more people take advantage of the service.
The first Saturday session of the Starting in Business webinar, presented by start-up expert Dr Emma Smith, will take place on November 27.
Cool Ventures director Sue Marchant said: “Inquiries about starting a business or getting help with running a business have increased significantly during the pandemic.
“We are really proud tobe delivering this free service to help start-up and trading businesses within Bath & North East Somerset.”
The BANES Business Support Service is co-funded by the West of England Combined Authority and Bath & North East Somerset Council to enable local businesses and entrepreneurs access expert support free of charge.
