Regional law firm Goughs Solicitors has strengthened its corporate team with the appointment of senior associate Jonathan Carter-Lewis.
Jonathan, pictured, brings knowledge and expertise to his new role having worked in London and Hong Kong and with CMS, Nabarro and TransAsia Lawyers.
The appointment follows an incredibly successful few years for Goughs, which has seven offices across Wiltshire, including in Chippenham, Trowbridge, Melksham and Corsham.
The firm has grown its real estate & corporate, and land & development teams and been recognised by the prestigious legal directory Legal 500.
Goughs partner and head of real estate & corporate Gemma Sumsion said: “We are really excited to welcome Jonathan to the team.
“He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the commercial sphere and he will add true value to the firm’s corporate offering.
“We are seeing a real upsurge in the work that is coming into the team, 2021 saw our turnover double and it doesn’t look as if work is slowing down.
“All of this success comes as a result of our dedicated and passionate lawyers and our loyal client base.
“2022 is the growth year for the corporate team in many ways and it is great to have Jonathan onboard with us for the ride!”
Jonathan added: “Becoming a senior associate at Goughs is my greatest professional achievement and moving my family to the South West from London has given me the perfect work-life balance.
“Goughs has a wide variety of clients who face different challenges. My priority is to become their trusted advisor and build on the firm’s impressive legacy.”
