Wincanton, the Chippenham-based logistics group, has appointed Tim Lawlor as group finance director and an executive director.
He takes up the role on September 28, replacing Adrian Colman who will become chief executive on August 1.
Current chief executive Eric Born steps down from that role on July 31 to take up a new role outside of the sector. 
Tim, pictured, is currently director of finance and strategy with Serco Group, the international service company, where he has also held a number of senior operational and group roles.
Prior to joining Serco, he was group financial controller at Sea Containers. He is a chartered accountant and also a non-executive director of the Institute of Directors.
Adrian Colman said: “Tim brings substantial experience of the business-to-business services environment as well as a broad range of operational and technical financial skills to the group and will be an important member of the senior team.”
