A Bath City FC home shirt has been presented to city-headquartered national law firm Stone King to celebrate the firm’s success in the club’s annual shirt sponsorship draw.
Some 91 businesses paid £350 each to enter the draw. As winner, Stone King’s logo is now on the front of both home and away shirts of the men’s team for the rest of this season.
The iconic black-and-white striped home shirt was presented to Stone King chair Alison Allen by Bath City first team manager Jerry Gill at the first home game of the season, pictured below.
Stone King also has two pitch-side hoardings at the club’s Twerton Park ground.
Alison Allen said: “At Stone King we pride ourselves on doing the right thing, which is why we are so pleased to be a part of such an enthusiastic community at Bath City.
“We look forward to supporting the team home and away this season.”
Bath City first team manager Jerry Gill, who drew the winning name, added: “The shirt sponsorship draw is very important to the club and we always enjoy forging connections with the local community.
“We’re thrilled to have Stone King on our shirts this year and hope to see many of Stone King’s people joining the fans in the stands and terraces at Twerton Park.”
Bath City FC, known as The Romans, are currently third in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football.
Founded in 1889, the semi-professional club has been owned by members of the local community through the Bath City Supporters Society since a successful campaign in 2016, which was backed by many businesses in the city.
Stone King, which employs more than 230 people across its offices in Bath, Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds and London, is a national leader in the charity, faith and education sectors.
