An online tool to help businesses make sure they are ready for the employment implications of Brexit has been launched by the immigration team at Bath-headquartered national law firm Stone King.
The free self-audit tool includes a short series of questions answered online.
The instantly-generated results then indicate what action needs to be taken ahead of the end of free movement on December 31.
The tool helps and supports:
- Businesses that have EU nationals within them, and reminds them of the steps they need to take in relation to these individuals,
- Businesses that rely on the movement of people from outside the UK
- Businesses with a sponsorship license by reminding them of their responsibilities and helping them identify any strategic actions they need to take in relation to their license and the EU nationals they support.
Julie Moktadir, pictured, a partner in Stone King’s immigration team, said the initiative was already proving useful to businesses.
“It helps employers understand what they should be considering pre-Brexit,” she said.
“Many organisations need reminding that the UK’s departure from the EU is a matter of weeks away.
“The tool aims to give an insight into the key issues and guide senior leaders to the main strategic considerations.”
The immigration team has also produced similar Brexit self-audit tools for charities, schools and religious orders.
