Keynsham-based property group Andrews’ use of social media and its commitment to local communities earned it a hat-trick of trophies at the prestigious Lettings Agency of the Year Awards.
The firm, which has offices across the South of England, landed Bronze in the Large Lettings Agency of the Year category, where it came up against large national agencies.
The judges’ comments focused on Andrews’ unique ownership structure and its strong focus on corporate and social responsibility.
Its Project70 initiative – which it launched to mark its 70th anniversary this year – is buying homes to support young people leaving the care system. Andrews’ culture of openness and sharing was also commended.
The judges also praised Andrews’ bespoke in-house IT systems, which have been designed to meet exacting customer service standards, and the way the business continues to develop and evolve its practices, systems and processes. This, the judges said, was truly impressive.
Andrews was again recognised for its use of social media, picking up Silver in that category. The judges noted that the dedicated social media team carefully select the online platforms Andrews appears on and pushes out content relevant to each and that all online data is analysed to better understand where customers engage with the firm so that content can be adapted and evolved accordingly.
Andrews Letting & Management portfolio manager Chris Carpenter-Beck was shortlisted in the Best UK Property Manager category – an award which the judges noted was a great category to judge as it showed the depth of commitment agents have to delivering outstanding property management.
Andrews chief executive Michael Robson said: “Each year I come away from these awards feeling truly proud of the whole Andrews team. Simply, without their hard work throughout the year, we wouldn’t be recognised in the way we are.
“Given this is our 70th anniversary year, is particularly special that Project70 was given a mention and I’m delighted that the way in which we blend our heritage with innovative and progressive moves forward was also highlighted.”
Judges for the Lettings Agency of the Year are drawn from industry experts and the process is overseen by The Property Ombudsman.
