A founding partner of Bath-based Epoch Wealth Management has been included in a list of the UK’s top 250 independent financial advisers published in The Sunday Times.
Markas Gilmartin, pictured, who has more than 20 years’ industry experience as a financial planner, is featured in the prestigious list based on positive reviews from the independent consumer website VouchedFor.co.uk
Dr Gilmartin received a total of 26 positive reviews for his expert advice on investments and pensions, achieving an average score of 4.6 stars out of 5.
It is the latest in a series of accolades for Epoch and its staff. The firm was recently named South West Adviser of the Year for the second time by New Model Adviser. Epoch has also been awarded Accredited Financial Planning Firm status by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP), now the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
Dr Gilmartin said: “I’m extremely proud to be included among the UK’s top 250 IFAs.
“The rankings are based on positive feedback from satisfied clients which makes them especially important. I’m grateful to everyone who took the trouble to write a review.
“They provide independent recognition of the very high standards of financial planning advice that clients receive to help them achieve their life goals. But providing a first-class service is a team effort so some of the credit should go to my professional colleagues at Epoch.”
Epoch offers a full spectrum of services ranging from traditional portfolio management for individuals to specialist investment and tax planning for corporate clients including businesses, trusts and charities.
Its specialist financial services include cashflow management, inheritance tax planning, investment portfolio construction, retirement and pension planning, tax mitigation, family and mortgage protection, and business protection.
