West Wiltshire chartered surveying firm Kavanaghs has appointed Alison Williams to its commercial team.

Alison, who heads the firm’s commercial agency team in its Melksham and Trowbridge offices, joined from Alder King’s Swindon office, where she was an associate.

In her new role she will be managing commercial lettings, disposals and acquisitions in the Wiltshire and Bath and East Somerset areas.

She will be working with Henry King, who has recently acquired the company with fellow director Robert House.

Alison is known in commercial property circles across the county and was named as Deal Maker of the Year for Wiltshire by the property industry magazine Estates Gazette in 2012.

Henry King said: “We recognise that her expertise will assist our firm in expanding its commercial property business further and building on our client base throughout the area.”

The commercial team has recently been successful in selling a former NHS clinic site in Devizes for a mixed-use scheme incorporating a Majestic Wine outlet with residential premises above.

Other successful transactions include the letting of the former Polly Tea Rooms, also in Devizes, to Costa Coffee.

Kavanaghs has also been instructed recently to manage Melksham’s Avonside Enterprise Park,  dispose of the 10-acre Celcon site in Westbury, and let 4,112 sq ft of prime offices at County Gate, Trowbridge.
