Jane James, managing director of Chippenham-based community health and social care group HFH, has stepped down from the board of the Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) due to an increasing workload at HFH.
This has meant that she has been unable to play as full a part as she wanted in making a contribution to the work of the LEP and its sub groups.
With the LEP moving into its delivery phase, Ms James, pictured, has said she is simply not able to devote the extra time that will be required to discharge her
commitment to the work of the LEP.
LEP chair Paul Johnson said: “Jane’s experience and perspective as the owner of a SME in the area brought a real balance to our discussions about the economy within the board.
“We are sorry to see her leave but understand that her business interests must have priority in these changing times.
“Structural change within the NHS means that HFH group need to invest so that they are able to provide services now required from it in the new model for care and professional support.”
The LEP will be looking to find a replacement shortly and the application process will be published on the its website – www.swlep.biz – by the end of October. Partners will also be asked to use their networks to raise awareness of the vacancy.
HFH delivers more than 400 individual care packages a week and directly employs in 300-plus staff. Generic services are provided to look after adults and children, in addition to more specialist services to individuals with complex healthcare needs.
