Two new recruits have joined IT support specialist firm Systemagic as it continues to grow.
The Monkton Combe-based firm has taken on Rebecca Land in the new role of marketing officer while Rhys King arrives as an apprentice.
Rebecca is managing the company’s social media, newsletters and events. It is her first job after graduating from the University of Gloucestershire last year.
She said: “This is a great team to work with. It’s a brand new role for the business and it’s exciting to be able to be involved in shaping the marketing activities from the start.
“No two days are the same, so there’s lots of variety. I enjoy sharing the company’s news and achievements on a daily basis.”
Systemagic is known for supporting and nurturing young talent and has employed apprentices for the past eight years – Rhys being the latest to join.
He said: “So far my apprenticeship has been really enjoyable. Everyone at Systemagic has made me feel comfortable straight away when joining and allowed me to fit in easily. The whole team is always ready to offer their help and guidance.”
Rhys is studying for an Extended Diploma in IT and, as well as working at Systemagic, attends regular IT training in Bristol.
Systemagic was established 16 years ago in Bath. Managing director James Eades joined in 2002 as a junior IT technician, rising through the company to take up his current role in 2010.
He said: “It’s fantastic to be able to offer opportunities to both Rebecca and Rhys. Our plan is to continue to grow as a team over the coming months and by investing in new talent we’ll be able to offer our clients an even better and more responsive service.”
Last October experienced financier Martin Spiller, who works with London-based financial consultancy Jenson Solutions, pumped an undisclosed sum into Systemagic in a personal capacity to take the business to another level. He also became its chairman.
The firm offers a range of services including full IT support, hosted services including backup and email, broadband and superfast internet, telephone systems and hardware leasing.
