Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the area’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Jessica Morgan, founder and owner of Marshfield-based PR agency Carnsight Communications, answers our 10 questions.
What was the LAST:
Film you watched? A Time to Die. I’m only a year late! I was holding out to watch it at the cinema but ended up watching with my dad, my sister and a pizza last weekend. It was worth the wait. Let’s hope James Bond will return.
Book you read? I’ve almost finished Names for the Sea: Strangers in Iceland by Sarah Moss. A very evocative and honest account of her family’s move to Iceland in 2009.
Music you bought/downloaded? Probably something for my children… We always have music on in the office but we tend to stream it. If I get there first, I like working to acoustic covers.
Concert or play you went to? My friend (who I met while studying at Bristol University) Sam Alexander was in The Homecoming at the Theatre Royal in Bath, so we had a brilliant evening there recently. He’s very talented and it’s such a lovely venue.
Sporting event you attended? I help coach the girls’ under 11s cricket in Marshfield and my daughter is in one of their teams. I went to her match last week which was a win – I get far too nervous on the sidelines though!
Holiday you went on? We went to the Alps over Easter. It was beautiful. Even stepping on a plane again was a treat.
Restaurant you ate in? We ate a lot of raclette in a French restaurant. Delicious.
Thing that annoyed you? Those negative working-from-home comments this week from two prominent public figures. We’ve been hybrid working in my business since before there was a term for it and we’ve never been unproductive (or lured away from our computers by the contents of the fridge).
Thing that made you laugh out loud? I’m watching Schitt’s Creek (late to the party, again!) and I laugh at every episode without fail.
Piece of good advice you were given? Take an umbrella.
