Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week, Rebecca Dennis, partner at Goughs Solicitors, answers our 10 questions.
What was the LAST:
Film you watched: Despicable Me 4. I have a 10-year-old son. A new nemesis for Gru. The tension was not palpable.
Book you read: The Wager by David Grann. A true tale of shipwreck, mutiny and murder. Not an easy read but if the line between insubordination and morality piques your interest then this book is thrilling.
Music you bought/downloaded: ELO’s Greatest Hits. Life affirming, cheerful pop to encourage me onto the cross trainer.
Concert or play you went to see: Elgar’s Cello Concerto at the Royal Albert Hall. Senja Rummukainen played this bittersweet classic at the Proms and it was sublime.
Sporting event you attended: Seeing Southern Brave play in The Hundred at the Rose Bowl in Hampshire. Cricket at its best; fast, fun and noisy.
Holiday you went on: The Ionian Islands, Greece. Picture perfect peace.
Restaurant you ate in: La Coupole, Paris. A long way for a bite to eat but worth it for the most wonderful seafood in the City of Light.
Thing that annoyed you: Being beaten at chess by my son.
Thing that made you laugh out loud: Being beaten at chess by my son.
Piece of good advice you were given: To win you should always think three moves ahead. A metaphor for life?
