Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on our weekly e-bulletin. This week Tom Webb, corporate commercial partner at law firm Mogers Drewett, answers our 10 questions.
What was the LAST:
Film you watched? Air. I loved the documentary film on Michael Jordan, The Last Dance, so was interested to watch this as an account of how Nike signed him as one of their athletes. I would give it three stars – an easy watch.
Book you read? Atomic Habits by James Clear. A fantastic book on how small changes can accumulate to build good habits and result in big changes – I just have to implement them now!
Music you bought or downloaded? Tom Speight – Everything’s Waiting for You. I was introduced to Tom and his music by a couple of friends just after lockdown when he did a small private gig in Bath – it was great.
Concert or play you went to? My son’s school adaptation of Shrek The Musical. The performance of ‘dragon’s left wing’ was majestic!
Sporting event you attended? Team Bath Netball – fast paced and exciting as always. Hoping for a few more wins next season.
Holiday you went on? South West France. Sun, wine and cheese – a winning formula.
Restaurant you ate in? Curado Bar Jamon & Pintxos, Cardiff – great tapas and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Locally, it was Corkage in Bath – always a favourite and never disappoints.
Thing that annoyed you? Seagulls – a common theme in Bath but having had a less-than-pleasant run in with one on my way to a meeting recently, I can confirm it is definitely not lucky!
Thing that made you laugh out loud? Watching a montage of clips of Logan Roy (Brian Cox – Succession) expressing his displeasure at various scenarios with the repeated use of a well-known phrase.
Piece of good advice you were given? Listen more and don’t be a d*** – simple but effective!
