Law firm Withy King, which has an office in Bath, has been ranked 58th in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For and awarded the highly sought-after Best Companies Two Star Accreditation.
The recognition is for its outstanding levels of staff engagement and its commitment to creating a positive working environment for its people.
The firm’s ranking was revealed yesterday at an awards ceremony in London and will be published in a league table in the Sunday Times this weekend.
Managing partner Graham Street said: “In recent engagement surveys, more than 90% of our people told us that they were either satisfied or extremely satisfied with Withy King as a place to work.
“We are extremely pleased to have been recognised on a national stage for investing in our people and creating a great working environment. Happy, motivated solicitors and support teams go a long way towards ensuring clients consistently receive the highest levels of service.”
The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For is the most comprehensive analysis of workplace engagement, opinion and satisfaction in the UK, with 896 organisations taking part and more than 240,000 employees surveyed.
Withy King employs 270 people across its offices in Bath, Swindon, Marlborough, Oxford, Abingdon, Thame and London. In 2013, the firm was awarded top marks in seven categories in a survey of trainee solicitors run by Lex 100, the student guide to law. Withy King was ranked second for job satisfaction and quality of work out of student entries from across the UK including global London-based law firms, achieving an average score of 96% in both categories.
