Regional accountancy firm Milsted Langdon’s partner Roger Isaacs has been recognised in a top national awards scheme for his forensic accounting expertise and for promoting the benefits of it to the legal profession.
In the past year, Roger, pictured, has given expert evidence to clients in London, the South West and Midlands, as well as acting in a number of international cases, including a substantial international arbitration.
In recognition of these achievements and his dedication to the profession, the judges at this year’s Lawyer Monthly Expert Witness have named Roger as the top individual in forensic accountancy in the UK. The awards are produced annually by Lawyer Monthly publication.
Alongside his work helping clients, Roger is also chair of the Forensic Advisory Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and national technical director for NIFA (Network of Independent Forensic Accountants). He also chairs MGI Worldwide, a top 20 global network of accountancy firms.
Roger has also recently appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Money Box programme to comment on the collapse of London Capital and Finance.
He said: “It is a real honour to be named as one of the UK’s leading forensic accountants by this prestigious legal publication.
“I have assisted lawyers as an expert witness in a wide range of cases and worked hard to demonstrate the benefits of employing a forensic accountant in a wide range of scenarios.
“I hope this latest win not only highlights the experience and knowledge within Milsted Langdon whose forensic team continues to grow year on year, giving us an ever-greater range of litigation support specialisms.”
Roger highlighted the important role that forensic accountants play within the legal profession and said that the latest data from NIFA showed the number of professionals using the services of a forensic accountant more than 10 times in a single year doubled in 2018.
Milsted Langdon provides a wide range of services from routine compliance matters to specialist tax advice and planning, corporate finance, IT consultancy and forensic accounting from its offices in Bath, Bristol, London, Taunton and Yeovil.
